Today Penny and I went to Home Depot. There were long lines to get into the store and long lines to checkout. What made it even worse was that after I stood in line to get in and finally got in, I realized I had left my wallet in the car. I had to go back to the car and then start the whole process to get into the store all over again. Penny was happy because she got a run on the way to Home Depot and another run on the way home. The county is no longer posting COVID-19 statistics on the weekend.

Schools across San Luis Obispo County are holding drive-through graduations, as normal ceremonies are not taking place because of coronavirus restrictions.

In the drive-through festivities, families park vehicles within viewing and honking distance of the students who walk up to a stage and collect their diplomas. Students and family also view and listen from their vehicles as speeches are delivered.

Templeton High School held its graduation on Thursday. The ceremony took place on the school’s baseball field.

Though the Templeton High graduation was a drive-through ceremony, students and administrators were still photographed hugging and touching one another. The event also consisted of other festivities, including flyovers, as well as live broadcasting.

“Such a great day — students walking the stage, everyone in one place, student speeches, two flyovers, YouTube Live, LED Screen, Radio Broadcast, diplomas — and they did it together,” Templeton High School stated in a Facebook post.

Morro Bay High likewise held a drive-through graduation on Thursday. But the school also has a formal graduation ceremony temporarily scheduled to take place inside its football stadium on Aug. 7.

A retracted study on hydroxychloroquine and news that the coronavirus may be mutating drew reactions Friday night from Fox News medical contributor Dr. Marc Siegel.

“So Lancet, with egg on its face, a renowned journal, is suddenly withdrawing this study,” Siegel noted during an appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Surgisphere Corp. was called into question.

A database by Surgisphere Corp. of Chicago was used in an observational study of nearly 100,000 patients that appeared May 22 in The Lancet, an influential medical journal. The study tied the malaria drugs hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to a higher risk of death in hospitalized patients with the virus.

The validity of the data, however, has been called into question. The Guardian reports that Surgisphere “has so far failed to adequately explain its data or methodology” and says the company’s “handful of employees appear to include a science fiction writer and an adult-content model.”

Siegel now says the only question is whether the malaria drugs work.

“Does hydroxychloroquine actually work early in the game to help decrease the symptoms of COVID-19? It’s been studied in the lab as an antiviral,” Siegel said. “Medical, we don’t know yet. Political, we know this is a political hit job.” Liberal media was quick to tout this study when it first came out to slam President Trump but has failed to report when the study was discredited.

Siegel also addressed that doctors at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) said Thursday that the coronavirus appears to be declining both in virulence and in its infection rate.

“The virus appears to be getting milder. People who are being admitted have milder symptoms. We heard the same thing out of northern Italy,” Siegel said. “And guess what? I have been hearing the same thing from many doctors here in New York City over the past week or two.”

Siegel told Carlson his theory on why the virus may be mellowing.

“Viruses, like anything else, want to survive. Now, I am not sure yet that this is the case, but as viruses mutate over time, they want to get more used to the human host. They want to be able to spread more easily,” Siegel said. “And if they kill the host, they can’t spread. So, they tend to mutate in the direction of becoming milder. It looks like this may be happening here.”

The apex predator of the baby-killing world, Planned Parenthood, released a statement devoid of any self-awareness in support of Black Lives Matter, despite being the premiere killer of black lives in America.

The statement, released on Facebook, reads in part:

We are devastated, grieving, and outraged by violence against Black lives. We must continue to demand accountability, justice, and an end to the inequity that continues to define every moment of life for Black America from the racist institutions that uphold white supremacy.

If Black people do not have the right to bodily autonomy to live their daily lives — or protest the violence against their lives — without the fear of violence or murder, we can never achieve justice, let alone reproductive freedom. Freedom from violence is reproductive justice.

The post talks further of how white supremacy and systemic racism permeate every institution, and ends by giving a quick nod to their own “racists past” (and what a racist past, present, and future it is) saying:

To our Black patients, supporters, and colleagues across the country and the Black community whose lives, health, and safety are constantly under attack, Planned Parenthood stands with you.

In America, 37% of abortions are obtained by black women. If you are pregnant and black in NYC, you’re more likely to go to a Planned Parenthood than a hospital to have your baby. Planned Parenthood kills 350,000 babies a year, a third of them little black boys and girls. 80% of them are set up within walking distance of minority neighborhoods. They have $1 BILLION in liquid assets and are given almost $1.4 million dollars a day in taxpayer money, all for the glorious privilege of being able to burn, dismember or maim 40 children/ hour.

Planned Parenthood is not truly outraged over violence against black lives, because they’re the ones doing it. They are destroying lives. They are setting fires to generations of families. They’re looting our humanity. They are the most racist and evil organization the world has ever known. They are not merely putting a knee to the necks of the innocent; they’re cutting that neck off.

The only way that the baby butchery can meaningfully say that ‘Black Lives Matter’ is if they follow it up directly with “to our bottom line.”

The long line of people waiting outside Home Depot to enter the store

Farming continues on in the county despite the coronavirus. A field of huge rolls of hay waiting to be stored.
